The skittles evening at The Huntsman, the 13th-century inn on Lyndhurst Road in Brockenhurst, was a great success. Expertly organised by Rob Morgan, with assistance from Colin Isenman, the members were arranged in seven teams of four people competing over three rounds of skittles. The evening began with a well catered buffet and drinks, and quiet whispers of tactics. As the first balls were bowled the scores were recorded and displayed on a large TV screen for all to see. Round one was close with little spread within the scores. In round two Bruce Tindell’s team edged to the front. By the end of the final round they had increased their lead and were gracious winners! The team also took the prizes for highest individual scores. As the evening drew to a close there was enthusiastic talk of another match next year. Many thanks to everyone that attended.Sorry there were no pictures of the event. Anyone who has pictures please can Dave Bramley have a copy to supplement what wasan intense evening.
