The visit to Park farm today was a great success. We had 15 people who learned how a herd of 120 dairy cattle are milked automatically with little human intervention. The cows decide when they would like to be milked and may their own way to the milking stalls! They like it so much many go several times a day! It’s all computer controlled and the farmer can see full details of each cow, including medical condition, live on a phone App.

After a walk to the private foreshore we had a good lunch at the Gin’s Farm Clubhouse of the Royal Southampton Yacht Club overlooking the Beaulieu River.
