Annual Christmas Lunch with Partners led by Bruce McFarlane on Tuesday 8th December
This year our December Probus Meeting will be the Christmas lunch with Partners. It will be held at the Forest Park Country Hotel on Tuesday 8th December 2026 beginning 12 noon. Entertainment will be Retro Rita and details can now be found on the Social Events Page and the event can be booked on the Events Booking Page in the members area.
Annual Quiz led by Ken Garrod on 23rd October 2026
Ken is running a Quiz using the same format as previous years £15 to include Fish and Chip Supper played under Ken's Bingo Rules. Details are on the Social events page and booking is available in the Members Area on the Events booking page.
Theatre Trip to Mayflower led by Rob Morgan at 2.30pm on 1st October 2026
Rob reserved seats for this Jeeves Takes Charge performance. You had until 25th August 2026 when the reservation expired. Thirteen people are booked to go and this event has now beeenremoved from the booking page in the members area.
The ArcheologyField Trip led by Dave Bramley on 27th August 2026
!6 members and partners met in Ivy Wood near the Pig to look at the Roman site buried deep in the Forest. The visit with photographs can be found on the Past Events page
Visit to Christchurch Priory followed by a cream tea led by John Gribble on 4th August
On 4th August 21 probus members and partners had an educational day out being told about the history of Christchurch Priory followed by a cream Tea. A write up of the day out with pictures can be found on the past events page.
The Talk at the Meeting 8th September 2026 given by Mark Gammon
Mark;s talk entitled The Verderers -Past and Present was a really good summary of how the management of the Forest has been carried out for 950+ years. A write up of the talk can be found on the Past Talks page.
An Amazon Warehouse Visit led by Bruce McFarlane 22nd September 2026
The amazon visit postponed in April will now take place in Swindon on the date above. Details of the visit are now available on the social events page but the event is now closed to booking.with 21 people signed up to go.
