Pine Marten Event is now fully subscribed and has been removed from the Event Booking Page

New Event Treasure Hunt and BBQ led by Bruce McFarlane and Thorold Masefield on Tuesday 21st July 2026
Using the same format as last year there will be a Treasure Hunt followed by a BBQ in Thorolds Garden Details can be found on the Social Events Page and it can be booked on the Event booking page in the Members area
 
 
An Amazon Warehouse Visit led by Bruce McFarlane 22nd September 2026 
The amazon visit postponed in April will now take place in Swindon. Details of the visit are now available on the social events page and it can be booked on the events booking page in the members area.

The Annual Croquet Event led by Graham Otter has been set for 29th July 2026 
This event is very popular with space for 16 players. Details can be  found on the Social Events page and it can be booked in the members area on the events booking page.

A Tour of  Christchurch Priory followed by a Cream Tea has been organised by John Gribble for 4th August 2026

A Tour of  St Marys Stadium Home of the Saints was led by Chris Panayi

Eight attended this really interesting event which is described in the past events pages. Southampton are having a fine end to the season with a cup semi final against Man City at Wembley and are in a very good position to be in the in the playoffs for the premiership.

A Proposal for a short Cruise to Holland,Belgium and France in 2027

On the social events page is a suggested cruise that Bruce McFarlane has identified. He will be trying to gauge interest now it is more specific. Pand O cruise number G702. It would not be a commitment at this time but just an indication of interest. The Talk at the MeetingTuesday May 12th 2026 given by Professor Tony King
Tony gave us an excellent background to the evolution of the New Forest from the Iron Age to Roman Times. A write up of his talk can be found on the Past Talk page for May .This talk is linked with a visit to the site being excavated in Brockenhurst to take place on 27th August 2026. Visit to the Lymington Saltmarshes Thursday May 28th 2026 led by Dave Bramley
After the heatwave, the weather was perfect for our visit to the Saltmarshes. Aimee and Pete Durnell gave us an excellect insight into the Lymington Salt Industry and how the Saltmarshes have now evolved into an important Nature Reserve.
