Royal Army Signals led by John Gribble
On the 19th February 2026 John Gribble took 15 members and guests to see the Army communications unit at Blandford. Our guide took us through the evolution of communications in the Army and Navy. From the use of flags and braziers to the cyber communications of today. Innovation is something that speeds up in war situations. The use of camoflage such as suitcases to hide radio equipment in, pens and keyfobs hiding video and photo devices. It was an interesting and informative visit. Thanks to John for setting up the visit and managing it.
