December saw 68 members, partners and honoured guests enjoying our Christmas Dinner at Brokenhurst Golf Club. The dinner was preceded by an talk entitled “Wildlife of the Jurassic Coast” – by lifetime Dorset photographer Brian Pettit. From its rich fossil evidence this stretch of England's coastline has obviously always been home to a wide range of life forms for millennia and today's species list is just as dramatic. Plants, reptiles, birds, mammals and invertebrates all play a role in the balance of nature in this nearby location.  Brian highlighted this often in extreme close-up using his high-definition projection equipment. This truly was a memorable talk with Brian demonstrating his passion, immense knowledge, through his excellent presentation skills.
