Roger was the silver commander in charge of the police response to the London bombings. He described how a quiet morning 7th July 2025 became a horror situation. Three bombs had exploded in the underground and one on a crowded bus. All bombs causing hundreds of injuries and many deaths. Roger was trying to understand what had actually happened, evacuate the underground and provide emergency services at numerous sites. He described how the Met were organised and how the day unfolded. He then went onto to describe how the perpetrators were tracked down and prosecuted. It was a fascinating talk which conveyed the stress and professionalism with which the case was handled. Everyone at the talk were impressed with how the tasks at hand were executed from the emergency responses to the injured, the efforts to clear the underground, the way the perpetrators were tracked down and brought to justice.
