Wednesday 18th May was a sunny, sociable and successful day for the Brockenhurst Probus golf team. Five Probus Clubs (Barton-on-Sea, Brockenhurst, Christchurch, Milford-on-Sea, and Sway) took part in a 'Golf Tournee' at the New Forest Golf Course, organised by Graham (Rocky) Fearis of Barton Probus.

I am delighted to report that the individual winner was our fellow member Martin Lockwood, and the team prize was also awarded to the Brockenhurst team of Martin Lockwood, Athol Hyland, John Trundle, and David Podmore. An elegant trophy was awarded, which will be held in turn by each player, and hopefully retained after next year's event. Thank you to the team for taking part.

With the highest score in the Brockenhurst team, Martin also won the Mike Stevens Memorial Cup, last contested in 2018, but now back on the 'tour' circuit.

 

I would like to thank Barton Probus, and Rocky Fearis in particular, for the efforts put into making this an enjoyable event, particularly since Brockenhurst Probus excelled on the day.
